New Waygu Burger from Astons Specialities

This afternoon went to our favourite restaurant Astons at Sembawang Shopping Center. There were no crowds as its about 1hr before dinner time.


Saw they are offering some promotion, one of them is the Waygu Burger @ $9.90

We went in sit down and the waiter came in and take order. I told him I wanna take the burger offer and he ask me how I want my beef to be. I was thinking 'WOW' they serve waygu beef steak between the 2 burger bun!! Thats really super value for $$. I told him I want medium well, my fav.

So I waited patiently for the burger and when it arrive I was .... WTF??!!

Presentation sucks big time. If they want to promote this burger, pls do something on the presentation.... (note: that brownish stain is from a small pc of rib eye my wife having)

I open up the burger and this is what i found, few leaf of veg, a slice of cheese and a waygu patty.

When I take my first bite then I realise 'HEY, this is mince meat!' Does people eat medium well mince meat? Anyway, the burger bun is soft, veggy is fresh and the meat is tender ... what do you expect me to say? ... it medium well mince meat for god sake!

Damn ... it taste really funny and I dont enjoy it at all .... medium well mince meat ...

luckily my wife took the Diners Club offer, the prime rib x-tra cut with free soup. I help myself to her dish and to be frank, its good!

So if you decided to go Aston, my advice is NOT to order the waygu burger but if you are adventures to try, make sure to have it well done.
